Fleet Footing - a Sonic Walk
created by Sarah Grange and Catherine Kontz
A DrawnForth Production
A bold new work combining music, maps and interactive performance, Fleet Footing is a sonic walk charting a course along the path of London’s lost river.
Having swept along with London’s religion, trade, medicine, scandal, and filth for centuries, the Fleet is almost invisible now. But if you know where to look, it left traces behind: in the curves of streets, the names of roads, and - if you listen hard enough - the sound of it still flowing beneath your feet…
Come along to the inaugural walks on 28th and 29th July 2018, starting at 14.00 in Hampstead Heath and following the course of the Fleet to its mouth at Blackfriars Bridge. (approx. 3 hours)
Download the audio material for a reduced price here and bring it with you on a device of your choice (phone, tablet plus headphones) to have it ready for the walk.
You will also be sent a digital map to follow.
Fleet Footing - will be also be available at a full price of 7.50 from iTunes and Amazon so it can be enjoyed by anyone at any time, alone and in good company.
